India, Feb. 13 -- The electric vehicle (EV) division of Tata Motors announced that it has slashed costs of its vehicles by up to Rs 1.2 lakh, marking the first time an electric manufacturer in India has done so. After a Rs 70,000 price drop, the Tiago EV now starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, there is a price cut of up to Rs 1.2 lakh for the Nexon EV. Accordingly, the ex-showroom price of the electric sub-compact SUV now stands at Rs 14.49 lakh, while that of the Long Range variant is Rs 16.99 lakh.
