India, March 24 -- The Volvo XC40 Recharge is the brand's first electric vehicle in India, which went on sale in 2022 with a single dual-motor setup. The Swedish automaker, however, recently introduced an entry-level model to the portfolio, making the e-SUV more affordable. The new variant, called the Plus (formerly known as the 'Single'), has a sticker price of Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom), with reservations currently open for Rs 1 lakh. The Ultimate variant of the SUV costs Rs 57.90 lakh, which is 2.95 lakh more than the base model. While the newly released Plus model has rear-wheel drive, the dual-motor version comes with an all-wheel drive. All prices are ex-showroom.
