Jakarta, April 29 -- The Indonesian Defense Forces would deploy 12 thousand combined personnel from the Army (AD), Air Force (AL), and Navy (AL) to secure the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali.

"Our personnel will be responsible to carry out security and health tasks," head of the TNI Information Center, Major General Nugraha Gumilar, told ANTARA on Monday.

TNI personnel would begin providing security at the location a week before the event falling on May 18-25, 2024, Gumilar said.

This was done for personnel to conduct monitoring and location mapping for places in need of additional security measures, he stated.

Apart from land security, Gumilar said TNI also conducts air and sea security around Bali Island.
