Three navy vessels join combat preparedness drill in North Natuna Sea
Jakarta, April 28 -- Three battleships of the Indonesian Navy stationed at the Fleet Command conducted a combat preparedness drill in the North Natuna Sea, which is among Indonesia's outermost waters and shares borders with Malaysia and Vietnam.
"Around 250 soldiers from Fleet Command I were involved," head of the command's information office, Colonel Yoni Nova, said when contacted from Jakarta on Saturday (April 27), noting that the drill took place on April 24-26.
According to a statement received from the office on Saturday, three battleships-KRI John Lie-358, KRI Sutedi Senoputera-378, and KRI Tjiptadi-381-practiced tactical maneuvers and conducted a shooting practice.
