Jakarta, April 30 -- Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that Microsoft would not regret investing US$1.7 billion, or around Rp27.6 trillion, in Indonesia.

"Microsoft will not regret their investment in Indonesia. I promise," he remarked at the Microsoft Build: Al Day Jakarta at the Jakarta Convention Center on Tuesday.

The minister ensures that the Indonesian government would provide better incentives and other benefits to Microsoft, as compared to other countries.

"(It is) because any incentive you can get anywhere else, you can get it here. Incentives you get in India, Thailand, or anywhere else, we can do it better," Pandjaitan emphasized.
